Elena Friedrich (born 1983 in Halle/Saale) works in the field of experimental and documentary film and as a video artist, cinematographer and editor for the projects of other artists* (performance, visual arts, theatre). She also works in the field of film and media educationand in film festival organisation, since 2019 for „Berlin Critics‘ Week“.
She studies cultural studies at Humboldt University Berlin and film and media arts at the School of Fine Arts in Hamburg. Since 2016 she lives and works at the artist house "Vorwerkstift" in Hamburg.
Stefanie Schröder *1981 in Weimar
Studied art history and art education at the University of Greifswald. Co-founder of the independent cultural center WBS70, Greifswald. Studied photography and media art at HGB Leipzig. Guest student Villa Arson, Nice. PMMC Masterclass + Lab, Werkleitz e.V. Halle. Member of collective Filmische Initiative Leipzig FILZ. Co-organizer of art space MPEG in Leipzig. Participant of pilot program for experimental film MDM.
Born in 1986 in the former Yugoslavia. He studied film direction as well as art. Following multiple short films that screened and won prizes at major international festivals, his feature film debut All the Cities of the North was released in 2016. Afterwater is his second feature-length work.
