Sophie Watzlawick is a Filmmaker and Editor, born in Geneva (CH) and living in Berlin. She is an active member of the independent film collectives for DIY analog praxis LaborBerlin. Playing in a space created between daily concrete and oneiric cosmic worlds, her hand-made films are built on different visual/acoustic experiences and philosophical tale.

'THE EVENING REDNESS IN THE SOUTH' is an entirely dialogue-free dramatic feature film, a visual tone poem following several workers on a building site as their daily work and family lives becomes infused with their deepest memories, dreams, anxieties and desires. The picture was filmed in Co.Cork.


Colin Hickey was born in Cork where he resides today. He has been interested in film since a young age and attended the London Film Academy where he graduated with a Diploma in Filmmaking in 2004. Having completed his study, Colin worked in the film industry in London. After London e spent some time living in Columbia and had an encounter with Werner Herzog. From Columbia he returned to Cork where he started a company specialized in wedding videos. "Evening Redness" is Colin's first feature that was four years in the making on a micro-budget.
